Students washed cars all day on Saturday 30th April, 2016 as a fundraiser for their upcoming 2016 Extra Mile Cambodia and Vietnam Mission in the next school holidays.

A committed group of 38 students raised $1,900 for the mission. The students took turns in working one of three shifts, with cars being washed from 8:00am – 4:00pm for $20 per vehicle (wash and shammy). The venue was MRT Performance, 1 Averill Street, Rhodes.Arden Cambodia car wash - IMG_8025

When asked how the day went, Mr Paul Fiander, Arden’s Year 9 Coordinator and one of the staff involved with this year’s mission shared: “The day went great. Many people gave generously without having their car washed. Many members of the community were very supportive and were encouraged to see students giving their time and effort to help others and being involved in the mission trip and house building.”
