Arden began in 1922 under the direction of Mrs Linck when it was a branch of PLC and housed at Wellham St Beecroft.
In 1930 it was taken over and run privately by Miss Gurney who first called it Arden after the Shakespearean Forest of Peace in "As You Like It".
In 1946 the school moved to St John’s Beecroft Church Hall and came under the control of the Anglican Diocesan Schools.
1952 Arden moved to a house in Wongala Cresent, a generous gift of the Nelson Family. This house is depicted in current publicity.
1966 Property on Beecroft Rd purchased from the Mosley Family.
1968-71 Extensive development to Mosley House.
1975 Old Mosley House demolished and 3 level building erected-Alison House. The population of the school could then be two streamed and boys continued to Year 6.
1983 Infants school complex opened - Johnstone House & Hudson House.
1987 Library / resource area opened.
1992 70th Anniversary celebration.
1993 After School Care established-School population 400.
1994 10/12 Chapman Ave used as extension to Adventure playground. New multipurpose court built.
1995 Cook House, 63 Beecroft Rd, purchased by school. Includes playspace, pool and cottage. Art /Science room established, new canteen and clothing pool, amphitheatre, music studios and new Administration.
1996 10 year plan designed to amalgamate properties. Plan to cover amphitheatre, introduce a 5 day preschool, re-establish Music department in Alison House.
1997 75th Anniversary celebration.
2000 Preliminary plans for a Secondary school began.
2001 Purchase of 50 Oxford St Epping for the Secondary School.
2003 Year 7 commenced at Epping.
Yearly expansion to Year 12 in 2008.
