Community Service

We have an intentional and practical community service program that is local, national and global. Arden’s mission, “Centred on the Christian faith and finding joy in God” aims to produce confident, capable global citizens whose lives find fulfilment in the service of others.

Our community service program finds inspiration from the life of Jesus as a model of servant leadership. We want our graduates to live lives of meaning, purpose and hope and to empower others to do the same. We want our graduates to use their education and the privileges to make the world a better place.

At Arden we see giving and serving as a practical application of the Christian message. Arden’s focus on community service is an intentional and practical response to the words from the biblical book of Isaiah:

Is not this the kind of fasting I have chosen:
to loose the chains of injustice
and untie the cords of the yoke,
to set the oppressed free
    and break every yoke?
Is it not to share your food with the hungry
and to provide the poor wanderer with shelter —
when you see the naked, to clothe them,
and not to turn away from your own flesh and blood?
