Year 7 2027 academic and music Scholarships

Thank you for your interest in the Arden Anglican School Scholarship Program. 

Each year Arden’s School Council offers scholarships for students who exhibit outstanding ability through the awarding of Academic and Music Scholarships. Students who are awarded a scholarship are expected to maintain a high level of academic and/or music achievement and should also be an active participant in a variety of co-curricular activities throughout their schooling. Scholarships are subject to annual review but are normally tenable until the completion of Year 12, subject to continuing satisfactory performance and conduct. 

Our Academic and Music scholarships are open to current Arden Year 5 students, enrolled students for Year 7 2027, and prospective waitlisted students for Year 7 2027.  

Please note if you have not previously applied at Arden via the online enrolment application form, you will be required to complete this step before completing a scholarship application with our external test provider, Academic Assessment Services (AAS). 

The Arden Scholarship offerings vary each year and will be reviewed and determined by the Executive Scholarship Committee. 

Academic Scholarships

Academic Scholarships are offered to students in Year 7 and provide remission of either whole or part of a student’s tuition fees. 

Scholarship Process

Arden scholarships are open to the following students:

    • Current Arden Year 5 Students
    • New Enrolled Year 7 2027 Students
    • Year 7 2027 Waitlisted Applicants

1. If you have not previously submitted an Arden application form for your child, you are required to complete this step prior to completing the scholarship application. Click HERE to proceed with an Arden Online Enrolment Application Form. Arden’s Enrolment Application Fee of $300 is applicable when applying

2. Applicants for all Academic and Music Scholarships at Arden Anglican School are required to undertake the AAS online at home (Academic Assessment Services) Examination in February of Year 6. The AAS online at home examination will be held on the morning of Saturday, 14 February 2026. A scholarship registration fee of $150 is applicable when applying.

3. The Executive Scholarship Committee will review all Scholarships Applications and test results. If your son or daughter is selected to progress through to the next stage, they will be invited to attend a scholarship interview with two members of the School Executive. The interview, together with the application, will be considered when awarding the Academic scholarships. 

    Music Scholarships

    Music Scholarships are offered to students in Year 7 who demonstrate talent, potential and a passion for Music and provide remission of either whole or part of a student’s tuition fees. 

    Scholarship Process

    Arden music scholarships are open to the following students:

      • Current Arden Year 5 Students
      • New Enrolled Year 7 2027 Students
      • Year 7 2027 Waitlisted Applicants

    2. To apply for an Arden Scholarship, please click the following link to access the scholarship application page: Academic Assessment Services (AAS) websiteAAS is Arden’s external test provider for the scholarship testing. 

    3. Applicants for all Academic and Music Scholarships at Arden Anglican School are required to undertake the AAS online at home examination in February of Year 6. The AAS online at home examination will be held on the morning of Saturday, 14 February 2026. 

    4. At the time of completing the AAS music application form, applicants will be required to upload the following:  *A music video of 1 unaccompanied piece of music. The video should be no more than 3 -4 minutes in duration (Applications will not be considered if a Music video is not uploaded). Please note: Not all applicants for a Music Scholarship will be considered eligible for an audition. 

    5. The Executive Scholarship Committee will review all Scholarships Applications, Music videos, and test results. If your son or daughter is selected to progress through to the next stage, they will be invited to attend a music audition and following the auditions, a short list of applicants will be determined for progression to a scholarship interview with two members of the School Executive. The interview, together with the application and audition, will be considered when awarding the Music scholarships. 

      FAQs

      Q: How do I apply for an Arden Scholarship?
      A: Arden’s Scholarship Program is conducted by our external provider, Academic Assessment Services (AAS). Please click HERE to access the registration portal.

      Q: How long will the entire scholarship process take and when will I find out about my child’s scholarship application outcome?
      A: The scholarship process commences with registrations opening in Term 4 2025 and the Academic testing will take place on Saturday, 14 February in Term 1 2026. The scholarship process will be finalised by the end of Term 1 2026, and all scholarship applicants will receive communication at that time regarding the outcome of their application along with access to their child’s test results.

      Q: If my child is unable to sit the testing on the scheduled day, can they take the test at an alternate time?
      A: No, they cannot sit the testing at an alternate time, for students to be considered for a scholarship they must complete the testing on the scheduled date in February 2026. 

      Q: How many scholarships will be offered and what percentage will they be offered at?
      A: Arden’s Executive Scholarship Committee determines the number of scholarships offered each year along with the amounts that will be offered. While multiple scholarships are typically offered for Academic and Music scholarships, it varies each year. 

      Q: How will I know if my child’s scholarship application will progress further?
      A: Arden’s Registrar will communicate this information via email, to the parent email addresses provided in the scholarship application. 

      Q: When will the shortlisted Music Auditions be held?
      A: The Music applicants will be contacted after the testing results have been received from AAS to advise on your child’s applications status and if your child progresses to an audition, you will be notified on the prospective times in Term 1 2026. 

      Q: For Music scholarship students, what criteria applies for my child to be eligible to apply?
      A: Arden’s Music scholarship criteria is available via the application process on the AAS website.
